I was pleasantly surprised to find out that one of the designs I submitted was selected as a finalists. The piece I submitted (“Tools on Blue”) features a collage of different tools strategically placed to form the DNC logo. This makes for a really nice graphic while communicating the “Building a Better Future” message at the same time. It took me roughly 3.5 hours to meticulously place each tool so that you would be able to envision the DNC logo. The result was a great interactive piece that allowed the viewer to become engaged in the art. The viewer sees the DNC logo from a distance, but as they approach, they begin to see the story or message unfold. The “building a better future” tag-line is wrapped neatly with a stylized bow that helps draw attention to reiterate the message.
